It would be hard to get people to submit on time. Perhaps shooting for a Christmas story contest would be more realistic?

Or since it is a short time crunch, maybe just start a holloween continuious story and everyone can contribute to it. It has been a while since a continuious story was started. It might help tide the slow period.

A halloween story contest doesn't seem like it will work, though i like the idea of the contius story.
