The sigs run a little close together, but that may just be my monitor.

Um, dude, just a quick thought...

I'm not sure if being a furry AR fan amongst non-furry AR fans warrants comparison to the plight of Holocaust victims, if indeed that was the intended effect of your sig.

If you are in fact a German Jew living in Czechoslovakia, my apologies.

You misunderstand. The comparison is of myself to the surrealist author Franz Kafka, who is famed for the "_meta_morphosis" in case any of you don't know.

Franz did not consider himself welcome among other Germans, as he was of birth, because of his Jewish heritage. Germany at this time bore the black streak of anti-sematism.
He could neither identify himself as a Czech because of his German nationality; he faced social discrimination on both sides.

In other words, we sometimes say that in cases of obvious minority, or more often predjudice though I meant to be jocular, that we feel like "Jews in Germany."
I considered that a non-infantilist furry AR fan would be especially rare. If not, they don't show up on the net often enough or I'm extraordinarilly unlucky.

I don't feel ostracized or "fursecuted" in the least, but I thought it would be a clever reinvention of the phrase.

Yeah, I'm not sure Kafka is the first thing that would jump to a reader's mind when scanning your sig, even if one is familiar with "_meta_morphosis" (which is certainly a great story, no argument here).

That being said, my criticism still stands. You're comparing yourself to someone who suffered from various forms of prejudice. What other conclusion should we draw? If you don't feel persecuted (and I hope you don't), that's great - but your sig suggests the opposite. And any comparison to the kind of persecution brought on by German anti-Semitism seems just a bit inappropriate.

But that's just my two cents.

-S.
